Welcome to the Franklin County Department of Social Services
| The
Franklin County Department of Social Services administers some 36
different programs. These programs and the staffing to support the
programs are primarily funded by Federal and State dollars, in addition
to grant and county funds. The county's portion of the total operating
budget is 10%. Our agency strives to meet the needs of all people in the county through the delivery of services targeted towards children, families, blind, disabled, and the elderly. Our staff is dedicated to the management of the resources entrusted to the agency and to the enhancement of the quality of life of our people. It is with great pride that we deliver quality services to people throughout our county. The array of services offered by our agency touch the lives of many people and impact our county as a whole. We believe that it is important to share with the community an annual report of the services offered by our agency. We would like to express gratitude to our Board of Social Services and our Board of County Commissioners for the trust and confidence placed in our agency as we carry out our duties. We also must express gratitude to our community partners for the successful collaborative efforts made with us in ensuring the delivery of comprehensive services to the community. |
